Don’t be fooled by its understated external appearance, the inside of Julie’s is eccentrically English and bewitching. Spiral staircases, wall murals, tons of flowers and pixie lights comprise the decor and my favorite aspect of the restaurant is that it has alcoves in which you can sit and privately dine. Julie’s has been popular for over 40 years and it has an eclectic style and a homey feel.

The menu isn’t mind-blowing but the food tastes good. It is a great spot for a date if you are really into the person, you can dine and kiss in an alcove as you sit side-by-side on church pews surrounded by pixie lights. With a nice bottle of wine you are guaranteed to charm.

I wouldn’t deem this restaurant a hot spot, but it has a great vibe, a cool history, a warm ambiance and hot waitresses to boot.
